Job Description
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to fill a nine-month tenure track faculty position in statistics. This individual will become an integral member of a diversified and active team of mathematics and statistics faculty to support the Master’s degree in Statistics and the Ph.D. in Computational Science and Statistics, with particular emphasis on the applications of statistics to quantitative finance or biostatistics. Responsibilities will include teaching and advising in the undergraduate/graduate programs, research, service, and outreach to the regional and national financial and biostatistics sectors. Three to six credits teaching load per semester is anticipated.

NOTES: Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Negotiable, based on credentials.


Requirements
Required qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in Statistics or closely related field, demonstrated effective teaching abilities, demonstrated effective research abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills. Additional desired qualifications include a record of successful work experience in the areas of quantitative finance or biostatistics.
