The Division of Emergency Medicine and the Clinical Research Program of Children's Hospital Boston seek a Ph.D. biostatistician at the level of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor to support research across a variety of clinical topics and programs relevant to emergency care of children, including the design and analysis of observational cohorts and clinical trials. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with an array of investigators, contribute to grant applications, participate in teaching biostatistics to fellows, and mentor fellows and junior faculty. Current research areas of emphasis in the Division include outcomes research for acute medical conditions and trauma, the creation of decision rules, evaluation of diagnostic tests and therapeutic devices, interventional research targeting quality and safety goals, applied informatics, clinical pharmacology, and toxicology.
Candidates should have a strong record of collaborative research and demonstrated ability in the design and analysis of clinical trials and longitudinal studies. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills are required. Faculty appointments will be in the Department of Pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School. Rank will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
