The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Northern Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning with the 2010–2011 academic year. The successful applicant must possess a Ph.D. in Statistics prior to employment, be prepared to contribute to the development of our actuarial science program, and demonstrate the potential to become an outstanding teacher and an active and independent scholar. Exceptional candidates in other areas of the mathematical sciences may be considered if they submit clear evidence of an unusually strong statistical background as well as an interest in teaching statistics and actuarial sciences courses.
