Job Description
North Bethesda health and human services consulting firm seeks a senior-level statistician to work in a newly formed investigator-initiated group, Research and Development. The responsibilities of the position are to support research applications in design, measurement, data collection, and analysis for the Research and Development group and for other units of JBS, International, Inc.; to initiate research proposals; to serve as senior author or collaborating author on scientific articles, reports and other documents; and to attend business and professional meetings representing JBS International, Inc. to further ongoing research, support JBS International, Inc. projects, and to develop new areas of research.


Requirements
Doctorate in statistics (preferably biostatistics, education statistics, or social sciences) and at least 10 years experience developing own research and working with social and behavioral scientists; strong publication history in refereed journals; experience teaching and/or presenting at professional meetings; experience working with epidemiologic or intervention research projects; experience working with large data sets; experience with missing data issues, modeling, and longitudinal analyses; familiar with MPlus, SAS, STRATA, S-Plus and R; works collegially with others.
