The Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. We seek individuals with Ph.D., M.D.-Ph.D., or equivalent degrees with a record of accomplishment in biostatistics as applied to clinical or translational medicine, population health, epidemiology, and/or population genetics. We are particularly interested in individuals who are completing post-doctoral training and are looking for an initial faculty position.
Recruited faculty will be supported by generous start-up funds, a competitive salary, modern facilities, and administrative and infrastructural support. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain rigorous research programs, to participate in collaborative research activities, and to contribute to graduate medical education. Faculty with clinical interests will be eligible for a secondary appointment in another department in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. in Biostatistics or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Record of accomplishment in medically related research; experience in teaching biostatistics at the graduate level.
