The Quantitative Methods Area in the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, invites applications for a clinical assistant professor position (promotable to clinical associate or full professor). This position will start in August, 2018. A Ph.D. or M.A./M.S. with teaching experience at the college level is required. Professional work experience in Business Analytics would be preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (1) overseeing the data analytics track in the Supply Chain, Information and Analytics undergraduate major, (2) coordinating instructional materials and teaching undergraduate courses, such as Management Science, Business Statistics, Data Mining, Predictive Analytics, Advanced Spreadsheet Modeling, etc., and (3) developing and teaching project courses at undergraduate level.
Additional responsibilities include attending professional conferences that deal with Business Analytics to keep abreast of the latest developments and to revise our courses accordingly, generating and supervising experiential learning projects for students in the MS degree program in Business Analytics and Information Management (BAIM), developing and maintaining on-line courses in Data Mining and Predictive Analytics, and representing the Quantitative Methods area in the undergraduate programs.
The expected academic year teaching load for the clinical position is 18 credit hours. This is a non-tenure track position with full employment benefits. Salary and compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with candidate experience and achievements. A background check will be required for employment in the position.
