The Adelphi University Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a Lecturer in Mathematics beginning August 27, 2018. The initial contract is for 3 years.
Potential for excellent teaching at an undergraduate institution is essential. The load is 24 credits per academic year. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in the precalculus and calculus sequences. The successful applicant will work closely with faculty and staff in other areas that are working to support the students. A doctoral degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science or closely related discipline is preferred. Experience working with international students is strongly preferred.
A complete application must include a curriculum vitae; a letter of application; a teaching statement; and three letters of recommendation. In the letter of application, the candidate should highlight any strengths relating to working with an international audience.
