The Hebrew Seniorlife Institute for Aging Research seeks applicants for a position as a faculty biostatistician conducting independent and collaborative research in aging, statistics and data science. IFAR is among the largest aging research groups in the US, comprised of 23 faculty with expertise in musculoskeletal health; the aging brain; mobility and physical function; frailty and sarcopenia; palliative care; nutrition; genetics; biostatistics; and other areas. The successful applicant will join a team of four faculty and postdoctoral researchers in IFAR’s growing Interventional Studies in Aging Center (ISAC), as well as the IFAR biostatistics and quantitative science teams. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with junior and senior scientists in aging through the Boston Pepper Center and the Harvard biomedical community, and protected time supporting the development of an independent research program. Areas of methodological interest for the IFAR statistics team include dynamic data display and visualization; cluster and trajectory analysis; pragmatic and cluster randomized trials; and clinical trials of multimodal interventions. Applicants from all areas of biostatistical science are welcome, but relevant experience and interest in developing and conducting clinical trials in older, complex populations is required.
