Applications are invited for tenure-track appointment as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science jointly offered by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Business and Economics, to commence on September 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year appointment.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics with research areas including but not limited to environment, business and public health. This is a joint appointment between the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (http://www.saasweb.hku.hk/) of the Faculty of Science and the School of Business (specifically, the Innovation and Information Management group) (https://www.fbe.hku.hk/academic-areas/innovation-and-information-management) of the Faculty of Business and Economics, with the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science as the home department.
A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
