The Value Institute of the Christiana Care Health System (ChristianaCare.org) is seeking a Biostatistician to join our research program. The Value Institute studies health and health care delivery with the goals of identifying and implementing strategies to achieve better health outcomes at lower costs. To address the wide range of studies, the Value Institute has expertise in Epidemiology, Medicine, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Human Factors, as well as Statistics. The successful candidate will have an interest in using and developing broad statistical expertise to address challenging problems with observational data.
Collaborating with clinical investigators in the design, implementation, analysis and publication of research
Investigating and applying appropriate statistical methodology
Presenting results to project teams and general audiences
Participating in grant preparation
Optionally participating in instructional curriculum for residents/fellows and mentoring students
Qualified candidates will possess:
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and skill using statistical software packages
