High Point University invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences beginning August 2019. The department has a healthy Actuarial Science program and has just begun a new major and minor in Data Analytics and Statistics. We are looking for an individual interested in helping to develop and grow this program while contributing to the existing actuarial science major.
PhD in applied statistics or closely related field.
Experience and Training:
Candidates with experience using SAS or R are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with teaching experience are preferred.
Position responsibilities include: teaching three courses per semester, professional development, student advising, and university service.
Teaching responsibilities may include both introductory and upper-level statistics courses.
