The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, MA invites applications for a Tenure-Track and/or a Tenured faculty position in Operations Research and Statistics beginning July, 2019 or as soon thereafter as possible. Applicants should demonstrate the potential for research and teaching excellence in any of the sub-fields of Optimization, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, and/or Operations Research broadly construed. We are especially interested in candidates who can build a strong methodological research base, contribute to application areas of high impact, and be a successful teacher in our undergraduate, MBA, MBAnalytics, and/or PhD programs. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses.
Applicants for the tenure-track position should possess or be close to completion of a PhD in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related relevant field by the start of employment. Applications must include an up-to-date curriculum vita, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement describing research experience and aspirations, and a personal statement describing teaching aspirations and any teaching experience. Research papers should also be included if available. The Search Committee will begin to review applications for the Tenure-Track position on November 1st, and ask all required materials be submitted by November 30th.
Candidates who plan on attending the annual INFORMS Conference are encouraged to submit materials prior to the conference.

Qualified senior candidates will need to go through the MIT academic case process. Applications for the tenured faculty position will be accepted until November 30th.
