Construction of tests & measurements, Forecasting/modeling, Methodological techniques (general)
We are in need of a skilled statistician to support research efforts for our R&D department through multiple methods from power analyses and traditional statistical test applications used in clinical trial design, psychometric validation, test construction/validation, population norming, and data visualization. Further, skills in statistical machine learning including the construction and validation of supervised and unsupervised models is needed. Finally, we are interested in individuals with actuarial experience to aid in cost/benefit analyses. Importantly, we are looking for someone who is pragmatic and a team player who is comfortable in the fast paced environment of a tech startup.
Support study development and collaboration through the use of traditional statistical tests including power analysis, random and fixed effects modeling of change over time, survival analysis, etc.
Support the development and validation of new tests through the application of scale development analytic procedures including item response theory(IRT) and classical test theory.
Support cost/benefit analyses of product features using actuarial analysis and economic impact analysis.
Support the creation of patient enrollment strategies with our clients using adaptive trial design as recommended by FDA (https://www.fda.gov/downloads/drugs/guidances/ucm201790.pdf)

Preference will be given to individuals with experience with behavioral and cognitive test construction and clinical trial design.
Preference will be given to people who can code in R and Python.
PhD (preferred) or MS in statistics or related mathematical disciplines.
+2 years of industry related experience in test construction or equivalent
Knowledge in test construction and item response theory, particularly in the area of cognitive test construction
Experience with adaptive trial design
Knowledge of clinical trial design and statistical procedures
Additional Salary Information: 10% annual bonus
