Amgen Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Information (BAI) in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Work You’ll Do
Plans, designs and conducts complex global market research projects in support of oncology assets. Guides multiple teams, including marketing, business analysis and information (“BAI”), and forecasting teams, in gathering and analyzing data required to generate actionable insights for asset development planning. Designs and implements various methods and procedures for collecting data, such as workshops, questionnaires, and surveys, to determine potential opportunities for market penetration, product demand, as well as the latest practices and trends. Evaluate and analyze data using statistical software and Tableau reporting to capture market trends. Present summary of findings and insights to key stakeholder groups, including the Director of Global BAI. Liaise with the Global Marketing and country leadership to define BAI objectives, budgets, and work plans for key commercialization activities. Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams on market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and marketing / targeting plans. Work closely with global marketing commercial leadership to provide US input on pipeline products. Conduct proactive secondary analytics to track product launches and capture market trends to advise on the short-term and long-term impact on the business. Apply in-depth understanding of marketing and business commercialization process to provide advanced analytic support for key Amgen products.
Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics or related field and three (3) years of professional experience in the field. Experience working in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology or Healthcare Industry.
Must have one (1) year of experience in the following:
Collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams on market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and marketing / targeting plans;
Managing strategic partners, including consultants, external vendors and third party agencies, to enable effective and efficient project execution;
Designing and leading competitive simulation workshops to evaluate competitor strategies and make informed decisions on counter strategies;
Conducting proactive secondary analytics to track product launches and capture market trends to advise on the short-term and long-term impact on business;
Leading Tableau based reporting of internal data to improve visualization of data and allow easy monitoring; and
Informing business decision making by providing robust data analyses, interpreting results and communicating recommendations to brand/business stakeholders.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
