The Texas A&M College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry located at College Station, TX, is recruiting a faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate professor on the tenure-track, to develop independent research program and provide consultative and collaborative support in the areas of biostatistics, informatics and computational biology to the College of Medicine faculty on the College Station Campus.

Applicants should have Ph.D., degree in statistics, computer sciences or computational biology and 5 - 10 years of professional experience in the application of computational methods to biomedical research. Expertise in application of computational methods to genetic, genomic or methylomic data is preferred and prior experience in the field of psychiatry, addiction or mental health is highly desirable.
Successful candidates will demonstrate success in obtaining RO1 level federal funding as Principle Investigator (documented success in obtaining independent federal funding as principle investigator) be expected to establish his/her independent research program and co-lead a consultative Rigor and Reproducibility Core program on College Station HSC campus, providing statistical, informatics and computational support and training in the computational aspects of Health Science Research.
Additional Salary Information: The new faculty member will receive a competitive package for salary, start-up and support for graduate education, along with laboratory and office space in the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Department of Psychiatry, College Station.
