As part of an anticipated multiyear expansion, the Department of Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for two tenure track/tenure faculty positions at the assistant/associate/full professor level.
Applicants should have a strong record of research productivity commensurate with their experience, and a commitment to teaching excellence and department service. A Ph.D. in statistics, computer science, or a closely related field is required.
Created in 2006, IU's Department of Statistics currently offers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and maintains the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center. Research interests include machine learning, computational and spatial statistics, and Bayesian inference, with applications to neuroimaging, microbiome, and human rights data.
