Applications for the post are welcome in any research areas in Data Science/Computational Statistics that complement the existing strengths within the School. The post-holder will develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in Data Science/Computational Statistics, contribute to teaching, assessment, project supervision and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and participate in School management and organisation.

To carry out research and scholarship in Data Science/Computational Statistics, deliver an excellent student experience through teaching and assessment, and contribute to management and administration. At Grade 8 and 9, demonstrate leadership and contribute to academic and strategic management.
Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 7 / 8 / 9, £35,845 - £40,322 / £44,045 - £51,034 / £52,560 - £59,135 per annum.
This is a full-time open-ended role.
If appointed at Grade 7 or 8 the successful applicant of this post will be enrolled onto the University’s Early Career Development Programme (ECDP). This will provide for you as an early career academic staff member to be developed and supported over a specified timeframe to facilitate the advancement of your academic career.
New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
All research and related activities, including grants, donations, clinical trials, contract research, consultancy and commercialisation are required to be managed through the University’s relevant processes (e.g. contractual and financial), in accordance with the University Court’s policies.
