Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track assistant or associate professorship in Statistics available in August 2021. The Department encourages persons from all areas of Statistics to apply, and seeks strong candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics or Data Science with a specialty in biostatistics, Bayesian statistics, causality analysis, or health data analytics. Experience and track record indicating excellent potential to conduct research, obtain extramural funding and advise students, and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses are required. Other desirable attributes include excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with an interdisciplinary and collaborative intellectual community. Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent industrial experience and strong statistical data analysis and programming skills are desirable. University teaching experience is a plus.
