The Department of Statistics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia invites applications for multiple Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Statistics and Data Science. Applicants must have a PhD in the statistical sciences and must be committed to excellence in teaching. A successful applicant is expected to teach service courses to undergraduate students and courses to undergraduate and graduate majors in statistics. Additional opportunities to collaborate on research, both within and outside the department, are available and will be encouraged. The start date is August 16, 2021, with a 9-month salary of $65,000. This is an annual appointment that may be renewed for an additional year, contingent upon satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and the availability of funding.
