Baylor Research Institute seeks a Biostatistician I in the Temple, Texas area. The Biostatistician I manages the day-to-day activities of assigned research and/or operational projects as primary biostatistician to ensure an efficient operation of projects and achievement of goals towards successful completion in a responsive manner. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical investigators to design/conduct research and/or operational analyses directed towards improved patient care and health outcomes in accordance with STEEEP domains. Helps researchers develop appropriate study protocols. Collaborates with clinical and bench investigators/ non-clinical investigators on research proposals, research questionnaires, other measurement instruments, and data collection and management. Supports or leads the dissemination of the results and/or operational analytic results to medical/scientific community through meetings, presentations and publications. Supports research activities for Baylor Scott & White as required. Develop and analyze variety of research data, perform statistical analysis, develop, distribute, and present reports as necessary. Provides statistical reviews of research papers and studies, maintain current knowledge of new developments in biostatistics reviewing current literature, attend or participate in internal discussions with colleagues and educational programs, and participate in activities of professional organizations.
