The Florida State University seeks to fill a non-tenure track faculty position that will serve as the Senior Biostatistician in the Office for Clinical Research Advancement.
This position works with FSU investigators and research teams to manage datasets, design analysis plans for studies, and perform a variety of related tasks. The Senior Biostatistician collaborates with investigators on research projects to provide consultation on the design of data processing systems, specifying the needed output, the required input and the methods of validation and quality control. He or she recommends the most appropriate analytical design for a broad range of data and analyzes data using the most appropriate statistical procedures for the evaluation of outcomes studies and/or clinical trials.
This position requires a record of academic accomplishments, scholarly recognition and leadership responsibilities. As well as, a strong knowledge of study designs and statistical methodology and analysis, with practical experience in data analysis in public health or clinical research preferred, and must have proficiency in statistical analysis programs such as SAS, R or STATA (proficiency with multiple statistical programs preferred).
Preferred: PhD degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, health economics or related quantitative field; CITI certification; 3+ years of experience with clinical trials
