The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is one of the largest departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. It offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, applied mathematics, operations research, applied statistics, actuarial science, and mathematics in elementary and secondary education. The department offers programs leading to undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees and graduate certificate in various phases of the Theoretical and Applied Statistics as well as in Pure and Applied Mathematics.
