The statistician will manage SPC/SQC data with the charter to prevent product quality issues, improve product quality for customers and improve plant efficiency by identifying trends related to shifts in raw materials or process variables that can trigger corrective actions before becoming an issue in the final product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Leads the Safety Culture to a performance goal of zero accidents and zero incidents
Management of the SPC and SQC data collection and reporting processes. - Prepares Process Control System review presentations for appropriate products and customers.
- Establishes and run quality processes with metrics to measure quality performance.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of data collection and trend analysis processes.
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
- Supports data preparation and analysis for quality inquiries or special requests.
- Establish and direct plant policies, processes, and procedures as it relates to SPC/SQC and statistical analysis of data.
- Establish equipment maintenance and production schedules based statistical analysis
- Train plant supervisory, manufacturing, and administrative staff in the use of statistical analysis of data and the use of the NWA system.
- Manage manufacturing of new equipment including implementing processes, procedures, infrastructure, budgeting and the associated costs.
- Optimizes profitability of the area business by actively analyzing data and making recommendations on expenses, local inventory and development of continuous improvement projects to generate hard cost savings/profit improvement as a function of The Right Way.
- Supports sales representatives in data analysis activities to maximize the profitability of the business. Analyzes data and report on operations timeliness activity to MTG management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in statistics, industrial statistics or engineering with an emphasis in statistics.
- Up to 5 years in a position, that uses statistics to improve manufacturing systems.
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ideal candidates will have experience with 3D CAD, PLC, and MRP software.
