The Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Internal Medicine, and Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah, invite applications for a research-track faculty position at any level, together with Directorship/Co-Directorship of the Cancer Biostatistics Shared Resource at Huntsman Cancer Institute. We are seeking candidates who will collaborate with other cancer researchers. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the research skills and experience required to successfully assume leadership roles in directing and growing the shared resource, multi-disciplinary research teams within the institution and in national/international research networks. The candidate should have substantive interest and quantitative experience in cancer research as well as one or more of the following areas: omics, microbiome, social/behavioral sciences, or outcomes research. A significant emphasis of this faculty position will be collaborations with cancer researchers in laboratory, clinical, and population sciences. We seek a candidate who shares our commitment to health equity, and who will work to ensure diversity and inclusion in their research team. Applicants should have completed a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, DPhil, or equivalent) prior to starting the position, and have demonstrated excellence in methodological and collaborative cancer-related research.
