The Department of Information and Operations Management at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time, Academic Professional Track (non tenure-track) with a 9-month academic appointment beginning Fall 2024. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title(s) of: Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor of Practice, Associate Professor of Practice, Professor of Practice, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Principal Lecturer, depending on qualifications.
The successful candidate is expected to teach business statistics courses with rigorous academic content at the undergraduate level, and to engage in service and outreach activities that advance the educational mission of the department, the school, and the university. Clinical faculty are also expected to generate and disseminate new knowledge consistent with their rank, including participation in research and scholarship consistent with AACSB scholarly academic status. The INFO Department has 11 clinical faculty, 22 tenured/tenure-track faculty, 8 lecturers, a doctoral program, 480 undergraduate majors (250 IS and 230 Supply Chain), and 210 MS-MIS students. The title of Lecturer requires a master's degree in the field of Information Systems, Statistics, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field. Professors of Practice should have at least 10 years business experience in Information Systems, Statistics, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline. Clinical faculty are required to have an earned doctorate in the field of Information Systems, Statistics, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline.
