Assistant Professor in Statistics
The Department of Statistics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for two full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2023. Applicants will have a Ph.D. in statistics, computer science or related field. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a full benefits package. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in data science, machine learning, and AI including fairness and explainability/interpretability of AI and statistical and algorithm foundations of deep learning. However, we are also interested in candidates from other research areas. Duties include teaching, research, and service.
